It's been so beautiful here...Last week week we got mini cupcakes from Saint Cupcake and sat in the park to feast.
Pete enjoys most of his days on the warm carpet in the sun.
If you look closely, you will see little horsies on the curbs in Portland.

Speaking of, did you ever go to Yum! bakery when you lived in MSP? They're just off Minnetonka Blvd where it intersects with Highway 7. They have some awesome coconut cupcakes and the best chocolate cake in town. It's called Patty Cake and it's named after the owner.
Okay, I have to stop thinking and talking about cupcakes. Glad you're having nice weather there. You may be in the only place in the country that's seeing the sun these days. We just got another big dumping of snow and they said on the news some suburbs are actually running out of places to put it. On top of that, the vacillating temperatures are creating Pete-sized potholes everywhere.
But enough with my Sven Sundgaard imitation. How 'bout them cupcakes?
What's the story behind the horses?
ReplyDeleteWell, some streets have little metal hoops tethered to the curbs. Perhaps they used to be to tie up the horse- or maybe that makes no sense on the modern concrete curbed streets. Either way, there is a horse fairy who ties up little plastic horses to these metal hoops around the city and every once in a while you notice them and it's awesome.
